The birth of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo state is already sending cold shivers to the devious fusion of Labour Party (LP) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.
Whilst the inauguration of the Interim State Executive Committee was going on – under the leadership of the National Vice- Chairman (South-west), Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, a band of insatiable and disgruntled party-men held a parallel meeting in which they cast aspersion on the good purposes of the Party’s National leadership.
These individuals have antecedents of characteristically pursuing politics of the belly with the manner they had often surrendered themselves as ready foot-soldiers of the reactionary elements impeding the progress of Ondo State. As reported in some Nigerian Newspapers, they sought to bring the Party to public opprobrium with their distasteful protestation with a view to giving the false impression of crisis in the newly-born Party in the State.
In the same vein, a meeting, orchestrated by these elements, has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, 11th January, 2014 at Ijare as the second phase of the destabilization agenda of the Labour Party/ PDP coalition. The faithful Party men are warned that this meeting is NOT authorized by the Party’s leadership.
It needs restating that, though the opposing forces appear formidable, we shall overcome in liberating the Ondo state people from the clutches of the imperialistic governance of the Labour Party/ PDP fusion.
As leaders, we shall not fail to warn of the traitorous posturing of the self-seeking individuals because it is our ardent belief that eternal vigilance remains the price of our freedom.
Long Live APC!
Long Live Ondo State!!
Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!
