Manchester United boss David Moyes, has claimed that his team was lucky to be dumped out of the FA Cup third round by Swansea.
Wilfried Bony scored a late winner, after Chicharito had cancelled out Routledge’s early lob, to condemn the Red Devils to a fifth home defeat of the season.
The loss has once again raised questions, as to if Moyes was the right choice to replace his compatriot, Sir Alex Ferguson, but the Scot insists his 10-man side deserved better.
“We are a bit unlucky to lose but we probably didn’t do enough to win it,” Moyes told BT Sport.
“We made some opportunities, not enough, and when you’re down to 10 men you want to see it out and take a replay but we didn’t quite get that far.”
The red Moyes referred to was the dismissal of Fabio for a studs-up challenge.
“I have no issues (with the card). The referee called it right,” Moyes added.
