A chieftain of Labour Party, LP, in Osun state, Mr. Tunji Oyelade, who recently escaped assassination attempt, after he was shot in his house in Inisa, a town in Odo Otin local government area by some yet to be identified men, over the weekend, died at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.
A close family member, told our correspondent, that the late politician died as a result of gunshot injuries he sustained after suspected assassins laid siege on his residence and attacked him and his wife.
The source also noted that Oyelade underwent series of medical procedures to extract bullets from his stomach at LAUTECH, before he finally gave up the ghost on Friday.
