16:59pm - At Central School 1, Akpakaogwe, in Ogidi, Idemili North, an election officer said she was beaten up by the youth at the polling station.“They requested for the result sheet and I told them we don’t have it yet. They insisted they must see it and began to hit me. They were dragging me, took the ballot paper, and squeezed the register,” said the NYSC member who identified herself as Precious. Election did not take place at that centre.

13:50pm - There was an argument among party agents at Ngige's PU over whether the elderly people should be assisted to vote. In the end it was resolved that any of their (elderly's) children or relatives should aid them to vote.

Breaking News.
It seems that INEC and some desperadoes are presently muddling up the
election. In Idemili North, Senator Ngige’s strong hold, materials meant for
particular areas have been switched. The switch itself seems to be in the
direction of taking materials from heavily populated areas to lesser
populated areas. For example, materials meant for Ideani in Idemili South
was sent to Idemili North in Nkpor while that for Nkpor is said to be
missing. In Oraukwu Corpers are refusing to work saying that they have not
been paid. While in Umuoji, Idemili South, INEC has failed to deploy

8:20am - The Ezi Umuogbu INEC official said there are 674 registered voters but the ward was given 675 sheet in case of error.

8:10am - At Ezi Umuogbu Square Ward 005, Awka, accreditation has commenced. INEC adhoc staff at Ezi Umuogbu, a youth corps member, Kenneth Nwobu, said the exercise started at exactly 8.10 a.m.

Importance Of Voter’s Card

- Every voter is expected to keep his/her registration card safely
- He/she will use it on the day of voting
- No other document will be accepted for identification in place of the voter’s card
- Without a voter’s card, a voter will not be allowed to vote during an election.

COUNTDOWN TO ANAMBRA GOV. ELECTION - Persons Who Cannot Vote

As part of countdown to the November 16th Anambra Governorship Election, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has released the guidelines for those that may be exempted from voting.

The following persons cannot vote at the Anambra Governorship Election.

• Persons below the age of 18 years.

• Non-Nigerians.

• Persons who did not register as voters.

• Persons who do not hold a voter registration card.

• Persons whose names are not in the voters register
