The Presidential Advisory Committee on National Dialogue has said it has started preparation of its report for submission to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Chairman of the Committee, Femi Okurounmu, in a statement on Tuesday, said the report was based on interactive sessions and memoranda received from Nigerians.
He noted that the committee would hold a one-day retreat on Wednesday (today) in Abuja “to analyse the memoranda submitted by Nigerians during its interactive sessions in 13 states.”
He said eminent Nigerian leaders, scholars and experts would be present at the retreat.
He said, “The retreat would work toward ensuring that the best advice is made available to President Goodluck Jonathan as he studies the report of the committee which is being prepared for submission shortly.”
Okurounmu, however, thanked Nigerians who supported the committee by attending the interactive sessions and submitting memoranda in line with its terms of reference.
He also hailed the media for accurate reportage of the committee’s work.
