Nasarawa nPDP members give conditions for joining APC

Some members of the New Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, in Nasarawa State have given conditions to be met before they join the All progressive Congress,  APC, in the state.
The members, who were formally known as ‘Concern Group’ before the emergence of the nPDP led by Abubakar Baraje, had in their meeting on Saturday in Keffi made their conditions known.
Part of the conditions, PREMIUM TIMES learnt, was  that the state governor, Tanko Al-Makura, be made to sign an undertaking  to allow internal democracy in the party and change his leadership attitude. Most members at the meeting expressed a lack of confidence in the leadership style of the state governor who is the leader of the APC in the state.
A member of the group told PREMIUM TIMES that most members were afraid that Mr. Al-Makura had lost relevance and may not win elections in 2015 unless a different candidate emerged.
The meeting, however, ended with a vote. Those in favour of merging with APC won 38 to 8.
A Senator, Abdullahi Adamu, who chaired the meeting, opted for more consultation before a final decision was taken, to avoid cracks.
PREMIUM TIMES gathered that the meeting was inconclusive and that another meeting would be scheduled.
Already some members of the group, such as Musa Hussaini, last week, dumped it to join forces with the original PDP in the state.
Mr. Hussaini was seen at the PDP Thank You tour of the 13 local government areas told journalists in Keana that he was in attendance to ensure victory for the party in 2015.
