He said: “President Jonathan is performing wonders.”  A party chieftain, Otunba Tola Odulaja seconded the motion which was approved by a voice vote of the PDP stakeholders at the meeting.
The PDP National Auditor, Alhaji Adeyanju in his speech declared the zone’s support for Jonathan in 2015.
His words: “The enemy of Jonathan is my enemy. So, if you are the enemy of President Jonathan for a second term, you are the enemy of the national auditor.”
He blamed the problem of imposition of candidates in the zone for the PDP loss of the 2011 election in the South West.
The PDP national auditor also conveyed the support of the party headquarters to Kashamu.
Adeyanju stressed that the travails of the party financier lately were the consequences of his fight against imposition of candidates in the party.
“We lost all election in the Southwest because , PDP voted against PDP. Not that people wanted ACN, but candidates were imposed on them. Southwest people are sophisticated, we are very sophisticated. We are not fools. Kashamu has all the wherewithal to take the party to victory in the forthcoming general elections.
The era of imposition is gone. Imposition must stop and that is what Kashamu stands for. All the campaign of calumny, I will continue to stand by Kashamu because he brought life to PDP in the Southwest,” he said.
Also speaking during the meeting, Kashamu assured party members that everything would be done to ensure the victory of the PDP and Jonathan in the 2015 poll.
