Nyanya carnage and Jonathan’s ‘stolen’ campaign funds

President Goodluck Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday took on Governor Rabiu Kwakwanso of Kano State, accusing him of embezzling funds the Peoples Democratic Party  devoted for the 2011 presidential  primaries and election.

Comments:

Abate Dokpu: Jonathan is busy campaigning while the slaughtering of innocent Nigerians goes on. In saner climes, the President will not only cancel his official engagements, he will also engage the security apparatus in order to deal squarely with the problem. But this cannot happen in Nigeria. Our Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is engaging in petty talk and throwing petty accusations. What a pity!

Abiodun Olayinka: This is a confirmation that this President is a “mistake.” Less than 24 hours after the bombing of innocent Nigerians, he is busy attacking a governor and playing politics. For those who are supporting him, do you support his utterances at a time when the nation should be mourning?

I really do not want to believe that GEJ’s problem is that he does not get good advice because even if he does not, I want to believe he is smart enough to reason properly and differentiate right from wrong. Getting involved in politics and mudslinging is just so wrong after what happened on Monday. It shows he does not even honour the deceased.

Water No Get Enemy: Haba, Mr. President, this is ridiculous. This shows how you are insensitive to people’s grief and pains. How does Jonathan wants us to believe that “Boko Haram is just temporary” when he is showing a non-challant attitude to the dead.
