Beneficiaries of the monthly stipends to old people under the Fayemi administration’s Social Security Scheme have pledged to vote for Dr Kayode Fayemi for a second term.

Also, members of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Ekiti West Local Government Area, under the chairmanship of Mr. Fatai Oluyede, said teachers are solidly behind Fayemi because of the various incentives they have enjoyed under his administration.

Oluyede identified special allowances for teachers in the rural areas and those teaching core subjects, distribution of laptops to teachers and regular payment of leave bonuses and salaries to teachers as those areas that their welfare have been taken care of.

He also hailed Fayemi for giving new cars to teachers, stressing that the governor remains the only candidate that teachers will give their votes at the poll.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries of the scheme at the rally held in Ikogosi, Mrs. Beatrice Kolawole said “it is only if Fayemi withdraws from the race  that he will not come back to office because of the prayers of the old people for his success at the election”.
”We shall all vote for you and I want you to be assured of our votes. If the law of the land permits you, we want you to be there for as long as possible.
”We appreciate you and we pray that God will keep you there for us,”Mrs. Kolawole said.
The communities visited by the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard-bearer are Ipole-Iloro, Ikogosi and Erijiyan.
Dr Fayemi harped on the need for the people to be vigilant on election day and protect their votes from being stolen.
Fayemi expressed confidence that the various projects executed in the communities would motivate the electorate to re-elect the APC administration for the development being witnessed to continue.
Ogunkuade assured Fayemi of not less than 90 per cent of votes in the community in gratitude of Fayemi’s wonder in Ikogosi.
The governor urged the electorate to be vigilant and never underestimate those he referred to as election-riggers and vote-robbers.
