Patience Jonathan influences confab

Mrs. Patience Jonathan

The wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, may have forgotten her dramatic appearance on the television while interrogating some officials over the abducted schoolgirls in Borno State; but the impact of  her speech during the dramatic event still lingers and has spread to the national conference.

As soon as any delegate arrived, his colleagues would ask, “Na only you waka come?” Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State was ushered into the room where he made presentations to members of the Committee on Civil Society, Labour, Youths and Sports, and some of the delegates asked: ‘na only you waka come?’

Meanwhile, when, Adams Oshiomhole, narrated his ordeal before members of one of the committees, some shook their heads in disbelief and pity.  According to the comrade governor, he was ageing faster than when he was leading the Nigeria Labour Congress.

Oshiomhole said some governors were angry with him over his stand on the minimum wage and that they have asked him to stop talking like a labour leader. But he said he would never support the agitation that the minimum wage be moved from the Exclusive List to the Concurrent List.
