Obstruction on runway prevents plane from landing

Aero Contractor Abuja-Lagos flight was Thursday delayed from landing at the local wing of the Muritala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, when an obstruction on the runaway prevented the plane from landing when the tyres were almost touching the runway.

The pilot had to abort the landing and the plane with more than 150 passengers on board hovered the airport before it eventually landed.

One of the passengers on board the flight, Prof. Ishaq Lakin Akintola told Vanguard on phone that the pilot informed the passengers that he was not sure whether the obstacle was “a cow or a car”. and he needed to take off again because “there was something on the tarmac” which he could not avoid.

More details soon
