The Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Prof. Mala Daura Sunday said there is no plan to close down the institution as it was not under any threat of insurgency attack.
The VC however cautioned students against fleeing the campus in fear, insisting that the authority has put all measures in place to ensure their security.
Daura said the rumour of possible attack of the campus by Boko Haram was "unfounded and misplaced", assuring that the institution is safe as the authority has put in place security measures to protect the campus and its inhabitants.
