4.10pm - Youth want a three month duration for the confab and another three for national referendum.

3.39pm - Youth call for more participation in national roles.

3.19pm - Committee secretary, Akilu Ndabawa, however, dismissed reports that the retired colonel had been suspended. “He is not the only one that is not here,” Ndabawa said.

3.18pm - Tony Nyiam, who led some people during the committee sitting in Benin to shout down Governor Adams Oshiomhole, is not at the interactive session in Lagos.


2.54pm - Ndigbo Council said participants in the conference should be screened by the advisory committee before participation, saying that would not allow the conference to be hijacked by politicians.

2.51pm - Another hall in NIIA, Victoria Island has been opened for live streaming due to overflowing crowd.

1.54pm - Afenifere and Afenifere renewal, among others do not want a bill passed to the NASS for ascent to the confab. 

1.49pm - Most groups agree that the confab must not be politically based.

1.46pm - Groups presenting conflicting figures on the number of ethnic representatives to attend confab.

11.58pm - A member of the committee, Prof. George Obisun, arrived at the conference late. Obisun arrived at NIIA at 11.10am, two hours after the commencement of the session.
