Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele and Governor Kayode Fayemi

A House of Representatives member and governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele, said on Thursday that his political structure was strong and popular enough to defeat the All Progressives Congress administration in Ekiti in the 2014 poll.
The representative of Ado/Irepodun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency at the National Assembly described the Labour Party as a veritable platform that had further reinforce his hope of winning the governorship election in the state.
Bamidele spoke in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, during the end of his tour of the 16 local government council areas in the state.
He said, “I have a strong political structure and goodwill to dislodge the incumbent, Governor Kayode Fayemi, in any election. LP has further enhanced my popularity among the people.”
He advised the ruling party to refrain from harassment, saying, “No amount of threat will make me back down on the governorship race. The tentacles of LP have spread across the state.
“This is a mission that we must actualise and a race that I must pursue to the end. Ekiti needs serious intervention at this critical time.”
