A Federal High Court in Abuja Wednesday fixed February 27 for  hearing of the  suit challenging the legitimacy of the candidacy of  Anambra governor-elect, Willie Obiano in the last governorship election.

Obiano contested the November 16, 2013 governorship election as a candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Justice Ahmed Mohammed chose the date for hearing after Obiano's lawyer, Chief Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN argued that the suit filed last year was not ripe for hearing.

The plaintiffs' lawyer, Joe Kyari Gadzama , SAN, who led Olusola Oke, Abdulrasheed Ajana and Ifeanyi Nrialike however disagreed with Ikpeazu.
