Ekiti: Jubilation in Fayemi’s Camp as Fayose Picks PDP Ticket

The victory of former Governor Ayo Fayose at the PDP primaries in Ekiti has generated interest and celebration from the camp of the incumbent Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi.

Fayose who defeated Dayo Adeyeye, Caleb Olubolade and 11 others at the primaries would be the flagbearer for the Peoples Democratic Party in the State.

The ballots counted 1 vote for Mrs Margaret Bosede, 7 votes for Captain Caleb Olubolade, 3 votes for Dayo Adeyeye and 462 for Ayo Fayose.

The announcement of the primary results was greeted with joy from Governor Fayemi’s camp whose aides took to social media to congratulate him ahead.

A top aide of Governor Fayemi who spoke to Streetjournal said ‘Fayose is an easy win. The election is going to be a walk-over. He was a Governor in the State, he was impeached for financial recklessness now he wants to come back, Ekiti people do not forget the past, even all the Obas he rubbished would be against him. His likes can never come back as a Governor in Ekiti. God forbids!”
