Katsina Law Graduates To Get N450, 000 Allowances



Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema has approved the payment of N450, 000 as bursary allowances to each Katsina State  law students enrolling at the Nigerian Law school.
Director General of the Katsina State Scholarship Trust Fund, Shehu Muhammad who disclosed this to journalists on Wednesday said payments to the law students would commence immediately.
Shehu said each of the law students would be given the sum of N450,000 to help assist them in the payment of school fees and procurement of necessary books for their one-year stay at the law school.
Shehu said the state government also approved the release of N190, 640, 000 for the payment of scholarship allowances to students of monotechnic, polytechnic and colleges of education.
He said payments to students of colleges of education, monotechnics and polytechnics had commenced noting "the university students will be paid their allowances when ASUU calls off the ongoing strike."
He disclosed that over thirty six thousand students made up of fresh and continuing students would benefit from the payment of 2012/2013 scholarship allowances in the state.
